Since most of the significant and messy work is done, this is now more of an update on how the different rooms and spaces are slowly being finished. This week, for obvious reasons, the focus was on kitchen and bath. Mike got going on the maple counter and sink cut-out while Jon kept going on the final tiles in the bathroom.
This is the counter being cut and laid out in Mike’s awesome shop (a converted factory, yes I have shop envy!)
And here it is in place (picture taken today with the hood up and most cabinet/drawer fronts on, Boom!)
More kitchen shots? Sure, how about that awesome vent hood and Miele cooktop?
And oven/warming drawer, bring on Christmas dinner!
I have to say my photography efforts have been embarrassing.. I promised myself to take some good shots with our nice camera eventually, for now I’m making do with my iPhone!
Bathroom tiling done! Jon, you’re a Rockstar!
How you like them pebbles?
More brushed nickel goodness
And looking the other way, not quite done..
In other equally exciting news, we have our first very own wardrobe!
These Ikea Pax units are so functional, it should be illegal 🙂
Overall, we’re super happy with the progress and it’s really coming together great! We’re pulling out most remodel cliche’s by going over budget and taking way more time, but we feel that it’ll be worth it for a home that we plan to live in for a long time!
Lastly, we did get our tree up and that makes it feel extra homey (even though the rest of the living room is a mess)! Happy Christmas Everyone!
